Kara Four Bear

Kara Four Bear currently serves as Superintendent of the Eagle Butte Public School District 20-1 and has previously served as an education administrator, classroom teacher, and early childhood educator. She participates in and contributes to collaborative local, state, and national educational technology-based and health initiatives with a practical focus on the school turn-around process to promote student success in education. Kara currently serves on the SD Department of Education’s Committee of Practitioners where she is active in promoting educational equity for all learners within South Dakota. In accordance with the CTC Mission Statement, "Cheyenne River is a community where our youth are healthy, culturally grounded, confident in their identity, and equipped with the fundamental skills for success in life,” Kara believes it is the duty of all community partners to contribute to these efforts to best benefit our learners and community. We each have something positive to contribute for the overall wellness, education, and health of our community's youth. Whether it be resources, insight, or experience, and we should rise to do our part. The future begins with us, the future begins now.
