Cora Petersen

Cora is the Upper Elementary School principal at Cheyenne-Eagle Butte School.  She has lived on Cheyenne River since 1988 when she started teaching sixth grade here. She has been a member of the Canli Coalition for about ten years, working to promote use of traditional tobacco and reduced smoking of commercial tobacco.  As a principal Cora feels that having a more caring community that supports healthy lifestyles will in turn improve school attendance and performance. She feels that anything we can do to support that goal is worth her time.
