Alberta Miner

Alberta Miner is Mnicoujou Lakota, and grew up in Eagle Butte. She graduated in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Black Hills State University. She is currently working at the tribal daycare, but will be attending South Dakota State University Graduate School in the fall to pursue a Master’s in School Counseling. 

Alberta joined CTC because she wanted to get back in touch with her community. She was gone for four years going to school so when she moved home, she felt a disconnection. Alberta feels that CTC is a committee that is doing everything they can to help the youth in ways that the youth need and want.
